I am obsessed with normal maps, so I did this. For me, the standard one looked very flat, so I made a new normal map. I also made a brighten and more saturated block color, and a golden edge with an improved normal map (Oh noes! another normal map!)

I didn't create a materials folder because I was tired... But I added this in the readme:
Extract models folder to sourceforts/materials
Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\sourceforts\materials\models/...
I think it's enough...

One thing that needs updated though, is the download. You need to put a Materials folder into the directory structure because right now you only have a Models directory which many people could end up putting into their model directory.
But normal maps are my life! (j/k, it's obvious) and I like the sf logo because this mod has the same logo.
Well normal maps isnt everything. Try making a custom logo next time.
