No HD DVD wins, its cheaper, and hd dvd players play normal dvds. blue ray players only play blue ray discs.

On-topic: Good looking blocks, nice idea with these 'vs' skins.

off-topic: HD DVD uses a different laser to DVD, and the Blu-Ray uses another different laser. The HD DVD needs to use a faster laser because it is transfering more data and needs to do it faster.

As Dysan said, why would they need to bring out a tonne of HD DVD players? It's no marketing or advertising ploy, people will know if they are the same, and it will all collapse.

Plus, Blu-Ray wins. ^^

Im a media studies student, trust me, some normal dvd players you buy now will play hd dvd's, and the xbox 360, dumbass its and advertising ploy.

What? No it doesn't. You need an HD-DVD player to play HD-DVDs. Take the Xbox 360, for example: Why the hell would they sell an HD-DVD drive if they already had the format?
