Default 1.9.5 - Constrasting Team Colours

If we've learned anything from Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead, it's how well each team is represented so they are easily recognisable from their silhouettes and team colours. One major problem I've found whilst playing games in the current iteration of SourceForts is that it's really difficult to shoot players in their faces when they're in front of blocks. Particularly the rebels.

I'm already aware that Slice is working on new player models to help represent each class, but what I suggest is that the primary colours of each team should be a good shade different from blocks, so it doesn't obscure the player's vision and frankly, annoy the crap out of them.

They are super visually distinct, or will be, don't worry.

Wow, nip. You're really funny because that joke hasn't been raped, murdered and sliced into ribbons. Not at all.

I seem to recall (and I could be wrong, this was a while ago.) that the haven alpha had red and blue colored combine that stood out quite nicely in most lighting conditions, making for a very nice change from the dark, difficult to distinguish colors of the original HL2 skins.

I realize you're probably not too keen on changing the models at this point, but I think this topic has some merit to it, as there are definitely situations where you can't tell who's who when you'd like to.

During 194 development we did indeed try to implement the red/blue combine skins but it caused a bunch of issues so to save on time we scrapped them.

Hardly relevant now, but we will be adding team models with each class separate skins.
