the 19x series(currently 1.9.4.1) is no longer supported by the dev team, they are deving a sourceforts like you have never seen before(New gameplay, mechanics, etc.)

There would be a reason we "veterans" don't play anymore. Pubs are generally to easy, pugs we wait an hour before we pick teams and then rage because it took to long, and or general boring gameplay...

It pretty much pointed out "Put a portal here" or "Stand on this button/go here"

Of course, in a larger multi-player game like SourceForts(More than two player) such a mechanic could get annoying...
