For those eagerly anticipating the release of 1.9.4, a live bug count can be found in the channel topic. Once the counter hits 0 we will begin updating it with status reports for the release schedule.

How to Connect
All you'll need to join the chat room is IRC client and an internet connection. A good choice for an IRC client on Windows is mIRC, alternatively if you use the Firefox web browser, the Chatzilla Firefox extension embeds directly into your browsers.

Documentation on how to connect to a server with these clients can be found by searching for "IRC tutorials", "mIRC tutorial" or "Chatzilla tutorial".

If you're unable to install any software on your computer (if you are at work or on a locked down school/university network) you can use a web based Java client, such as the one provided by GameSurge. Simply type "/join #sourceforts" to join the channel and then "/nick Name" to change your username.

Note: The user "SourceForts" is a custom bot created solely for the SourceForts channel, it's only used for administration and logging and so doesn't have any interactions tools such as an 8ball.

if you are using chatzilla you can have it auto connect to the sourceforts channel on start up by going into preferences clicking on the startup tab and adding to the auto connect url irc://irc.gamesurge.net/sourceforts
