Default New design for forts

I thought of this design, in theory it will work very well, but since it takes forever to make it (very hard for perfect) it probably isnt practical:

Basicly take 3 planks like this:

And arrange them like this:

Attackers cant really hit anything through it:

And if you set up a simple ramp like this:

Then you have a perfect view at any engineers:

So what do you guys think?

nice idea, but would be hard to build in 600 seconds (especially across valley :P). Not to mention almost impossible to do in the league build times.

I dont think theres a way to scaffold build at those angles. This is why we need bindable commands that snap pieces to 30, 60, and 90 degrees horizontally and vertically.

See what we could be exploring if we werent held down by the fact that you cant build consistant angles?

That could work...but everyone is used to the ggun now so it seems a bit pointless to go around making changes like that. Maybe in v2.

Nice design, shame it takes so long.

no, fuck the ggun

leave the grav gun untouched, and add bindable commands, so its optional. it doesnt actually alter the current grav gun in any way. Thats the beauty of it.

New?
It took roughly 2 hours to build on my own.

Not only does it use more blocks and time but it really isn't anymore useful then a standard double layered wall.

Except for that it wont be unfrozen since you can just shoot through and hit the engineer instantly. But then again it provides no cover at all.

Generally when I see sparks my first reaction is not "Dear me, I wonder what that could be. I'll wait about 10 seconds to see what happens!". Instead I just use a ramp and pop a rocket into their skull.

You would be surprised how easily some people miss engineers unfreezing stuff.
