Hi,

I just installed the game, 1.9.4 (I think the newest version)

However everytime i load a server it crashed on the homepage of that server,

and the only way to get out of it is to "end process" I am not sure why it is doing this I have a top spec gaming PC etc, and run far more demanding games on it,

any advice?

Sounds like your PSU doesnt give enough juice to your videocard ;-)
Buy a new one, and install the 1.9.4.1. update of sourceforts. Mabye you'll find server then which are playable

If by homepage you mean the MOTD, try joining another server and seeing if it works. It could just be a problem with that.
