Mappers...UNITE!
Well it's been a long time since a new version of sourceforts was released. How long has it been now? 2 years at least. Now we've had a lot of community maps in the time, but seriously how many were actually played a good amount? Only astrodome from my knowledge (which is now an official map), so why don't the mappers of sourceforts just all work together and focus mainly on the geometry of a map, using textures that might not be the greatest, but it will be optimized to the fullest.
Make maps that are made for different purposes: uberforts, public servers, competitive play, etc.
Make maps people will love and play, instead of oh ya I tried that map one time. It was cool. But then no one ever plays it again.
Just all mappers unite and make the best maps this game has seen :P

We got rid of uberforts for a reason....NOW IF THE DEVS made the 1 point touch a Cvar then we could bring back classical bum rush

Twenty layers around the flag defense, and waiting half an hour to actually kill people is even worse. Especially when an admin get's all raged up, or the losing team RTV's. Two minutes into a combat phase, after building for half an hour. I'm like: "Are you serious? Go play Garry's Mod."

I do not know what games you played but, twenty layers around the flag is exaggerated. Waiting 30 Minutes to actually kill people, go play CS.
Neither saw an admin changing a map after two minutes combat nor people rtv in that time.
If you don't like UberForts dont play on servers with 250 Blocks. Is it that hard?
You dont like build phase? You think its a neccesary evil? Fine, i like building.
That is why you can not restrict forbid or ban neither Uber nor Minimal Forts if you want this mod to be popular.

Lol, well to answer your post quite simply: I don't make this stuff up. It has happened, and back in 1.9.3 if you wanted to play SF you pretty much had a choice between Uberforts, Uberforts and a bit more Uberforts. Playing CS? What the hell are you talking about, I'm saying it takes too long for the buildphase to finish in servers like that. CSS is still slow.
