Default Ideas about freezing / unfreezing

well i thought the freeze and unfreeze system could be improved

1. You don't need to look exactly at the block

2. Multiple people can (un-)freeze a block
This will be revolutionary! You can attack the opponent together! As more people as faster you are.
A speed calculation could be
Speedscale = players ^( 1/2 ) * 2 - 1
so:
1 --> 1 ^1/2 * 2 - 1 = 1
2 --> 2 ^1/2 * 2 - 1 = ~ 1.82
3 --> 3 ^1/2 * 2 - 1 = ~ 2.46
4 --> 4 ^1/2 * 2 - 1 = 3
5 --> 5 ^1/2 * 2 - 1 = ~ 3.47
6 --> 6 ^1/2 * 2 - 1 = ~ 3.90
7 --> 7 ^1/2 * 2 - 1 = ~ 4.29
8 --> 8 ^1/2 * 2 - 1 = ~ 4.66
9 --> 9 ^1/2 * 2 - 1 = ~ 5

3. Protect
Protection is to slow down others unfreezing your blocks
the actual unfreezing speed then should be
final_speed = speedscale ( from above) - players_protecting * 0.5

That's an awesome idea, scienci. I think a linear increase in time would make an armada of Engineers ridiculously overpowered, but the algorithm you posted seems like a good balance.

i heard there will be no classes (or less class difference) in SF2

Classes in SF2 are nothing like the ones in 19x (read: no op engi), so I don't know how it'll play out. It's a nifty little idea though and I'd love to try it.
