Something that just randomly popped in my head. Basically, the idea is that each class has it's own special ability that can be used/deployed once a life. This could help prevent 2.0 becoming the same routine game as 19x currently is (The paradigm shift in the next version might alleviate this problem, but we have no way of knowing that. I can only base things off the knowledge I currently have).
The abilities would work somewhat like a powerup, which can deployed at any time by the player (be it a turret for an engineer or a cloak for a sniper or whatever you clever minds can think of!). Each ability should deteriorate different, for example;
- An Engineer's turret would either be shot down, or be destroyed when the engineer dies.
- A Sniper will be decloaked after a certain time, or they will be revealed once they start attacking other players.
- A Scout will go back to his normal sprint regain rate.
I'm currently basing this off 19x classes, and there's no need to come up with arguments against my little abilities here. They're only examples.
This is a pretty short little description, because it seems pretty self explanatory.
