I recently learned about this mod and I've been trying to play it. I've downloaded the game and I keep getting an error.

"Valve's steam is not installed"

I have checked several times and Steam is installed and so are source SDK base and half life deathmatch 2

Could anyone help please?

Are you actually trying to launch from the steam games list, or from a desktop shortcut? If the latter make sure you're actually logged in to steam, if the former then reinstall steam (if you haven't already).

Disable UAC, then try again
