Default oops....

..... i broke it

was making another skin, and the guy whom im making it for (well call him annonymous for now)

wanted it really shiny, so i went for a hunt on google came up with this page:

got them back never mind, how do the SF team make there normal maps? just wondering because i cant think of a way on making the multicoulor normal map any help?

so how do you guys do the Normal Maps for your blocks?

Use the normal map filter from things like Crazy bump, or Nvidia tools in Photoshop. Usually on the UV map from the Block models. Then KG added all that multicolour to make it even more reflective. You just use the gradient tools in the channels.

My remake for Haven just used the gradient tool to reach that effect. I played around with hundreds of different styles, there's a lot of nice things you can do with those texture wise.

However KG's block damage normal maps are fantastic.
