Default datacache.dll

How to fix w/o reinstalling, keep crashing and every time I do it says datacache.dll is the reason for crash

You maybe have a backup of the file that you can restore? Otherwise, try to rename the existing file and see if steam is smart enough to download a new one.

If you search the name you can probably find it on one of the many DLL sites.

However it looks like it's a problem that's experienced in a lot of Steam games by my search. You might want to look around and see if a solution was found.

depends on its location.

First thing is indeed try to rename it and see if steam downloads it again.
Second thing is, if it's in a game's folder, rename the file and do the verify contents option.

My understanding is that this happens for a number of reasons. For me, this problem went away after I added -dxlevel 80 to the launch options.
