Default Hitboxes

SouP and I tested hitboxes with sv_showhitboxes on SouP's listenserver.

I don't really think these indeed are the hitboxes, because they are so far away from the model.


Standing bunnyhop with crouch

SSRJ


Do you really think this is true? By the way, we all had around 50 ping and I had no choke or loss.

It'll be lag between you and the server probably. It's like when you spec and see someone shooting randomly in the air, but they're actually hitting someone.

The host took the pics and I didn't lag (66/66/66.000 rates with no choke or loss). I really didn't expect to see so much difference between the model and the hitboxes, so it might just be the that the command is doing something else than showing the real hitboxes.

I also remember getting a hs on someone on DM, but when I saw it again on a demo I noticed that my crosshair wasn't even on the playermodel. So I guess the hitboxes really are so far away from the model sometimes.

It depends on many factors, this is the result of the games netcode balancing out the game based on human reaction and vision while compensating for video and network latency.
