Cool sf_levitation_v1

This is a new water-based map. Each team spawns on the two ends of top platform, behind the pillar, out of enemy fire. The upper platform is only team accesible. In each of the holes of the platforms, there is a trigger_push connecting the upper and the lower level. The force is a two-way force, so you can drop down(with enough momentum), or levitate upwards. There are also various jump-pads (not seen in these screenshots) scattered throughout the map, and are not team-filtered.

Please give me as much feedback as possible, preferably gameplay, and glitches. (Compiling takes very long)

That texturing is sexy... I'll try the map out tomorrow.

Do you use using a trigger_push or a trigger_gravity? Not that anyone uses gravities other than 600 on their servers, but if you used a trigger_gravity with a value of, say, .01 for the span of the levitation column. This would essentially negate gravity on any server settings. If you do use them, make sure you put trigger_gravitiy's of value 1 around it and on spawn points (in case someone dies in low grav).

I'm not sure what you are implying, but the whole blocks-falling-though-displacement is fixed.

I used trigger_push, because players also have to be able to get back up, not just have a cushioned fall. Whereever you see a rounded hole in the catwalks, thats where you'll find a trigger_push. Everthing else is normal gravity.

For future versions:

Here's my question (vote on it)
Should I make the water rise and lower randomly? Have the floor be covered in a foot of water, then rise to about the player's height, then lower again?

I was gonna DL but come in at a whopping 16 mb's! Cuz it's just the bsp, not zipped. My dial up won't stay on long enough to DL, haha. But map looks good from screens!

1) Massive file size
2) Bad texturing on the corners (cant be prevented)
3) The curviness just doesn't look quite right to me.

Hey, could you upload this map to unknown files? its a lot easier then navigating 50 pages of rapid share to dl a file when unknown files, its where all the other SF maps are and it takes one button to download... lol

anyway, if servers that run this map use bz2, the file size goes down to 5.1 MB, which isnt that bad at all.

anyway nice looking map.
