Being a lefty is possibly the most challenging disability to overcome in the entire universe. You rightys need to take a second and think... think about all the times you've forced a lefty into using a right-hand-centric product. Think about all of the leftys you harmed... emotionally and physically. Let me give you an example of my disability interfering with everyday life.
It was second grade. I was in computer class. I was using my left hand to control the mouse... just like I always do. Suddently, without warning(!), the teacher said, "You should really use your right hand Taylor." I stopped what I was doing. I was shocked(!)... appauled(!). How could someone dare tell me to use my opposite hand when controlling a mouse!? Also, leftys must use their middle finger to left mouse click. How annoying it is.
More recently I purchased an xBox 360 and Gears of War. Fortunately, there is a left hand control setting for me to make use of. This switches what the two joysticks do. This way I can aim with my left thumb and move with my right. However, Gears of War makes heavy use of the A button. And in order to use it appropriately, I must be moving. The movement stick however is on the same side as the A button. I must contort my hand to get my index finger to push the A button while keeping my thumb on the movement stick, as seen below.
I hope you all learned how much leftys have to sacrifice in order to live a normal life. Our contributes are numerous, but our sacrifices are even larger. Let's all take a second and think, what would life be like without all the creative-minded, right-brain thinking leftys out there.
