Fact: Valve has and always will hate the SourceForts mod along with anyone associated with said mod. SourceForts, the highly acclaimed modification for Valve's Source engine is what some may call "a brilliant idea of a mod". It has spawned numerous copies in the form of Garry's Mod scripts, complete modification knock offs, and general idea pilfering. What is such a great mod doing on Valve's naughty list?
Example A: On May 25th, 2005, Valve released a small update to the Source engine which in turn borked SourceForts v1.4.1. The game ceased to function, crashing on startup due to the small update.

Example B: Sometime in late 2005, Valve released a list of notable mods that they had found interesting. Mods on the list include such titles as Dystopia, HL2:CTF, as well as a few others. SourceForts was nowhere to be found. Beating out SourceForts was the 'mod' The Mistake of Pythagoras. It consists of one map.
Example C: As of this week, it has become known that Valve will be challenging the developers of HL2:CFT, a modification that does little but add Capture The Flag to Half-Life 2: DM. As is also known, SourceForts has had capture the flag as its core gamemode since some of the very early versions of the mod. We are waiting for your challenge Valve...
Conclusion: In conclusion, I would like to state that SourceForts as of this point will not bear mentioning of the word 'Valve' until amends have been made. To the maker(s) of Dystopia, Mistake of Pythagoras, and Half-Life 2: Capture The Flag, I apologize if I have in some way offended you. The above text is meant to be viewed in a comical and sarcastic tone which should be taken seriously by absolutely no one.. discluding those working under the corporation that must not be named.
