09/05/06 - End of a season
It's been a long time since I posted here.
When October came around, I took up my new post of the Imperial College Snowsports Club. I'd spent the entirety of September either at work (programming) or at home (programming), and we finally managed to get SourceForts v1.9.0 out of the door. However, my new job quickly grew in scope as the year went on, and after just a month I had to leave the SourceForts team to concentrate on my skiing, and my ski team.
Now it's been six months, during which I've crashed out of many a Giant Slalom, I've skied at over 70mph, I haven't written off any equipment (unusual for me), and I've completed my first cross-country skiing marathon. It's been an exciting year, with loads of snow-time, and (unfortunately) that part of the year is now over. The dry slope season started last week...
Now I have this job firmly under control, I'm back. Until I go to Siberia for two months this summer, of course... where not only will I not have internet access, I won't even have a signal for my phone. So my promise is that while I'm in the country, I'll be working on SourceForts. I'm just not in the country all that much anymore.
