Exclamation Making A Linux based Sourceforts Server

I am trying to make a obuntu linux server and i have searched everywhere the one on this forum is for Windows I think so i can not use it. Can someone find/make me a start up server guide for linux. Dont use http://www.sourcefortsmod.com/boards...ad.php?t=12414 or http://www.sourcefortsmod.com/index....ite_info_linux
those do not work at all for me. The second one i get to the last step but the .srds command doesnt want to work. Thanks

you might have already come across this- first link on google tbh- but i've used these directions in the past:
http://www.srcds.com/db/engine.php?s...43920&archive=

it might help

i know the windows version can be run in gui mode (omitting the -console flag) the linux one probably can too.

That is very good but for this command ./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir . Would you put "SourceForts" or "hl2mp"

you have to first run a server as hl2mp, let that get up and running, kill it, then start a sf server.
