Default FreeBSD Server Setup Help

Hi all, really like the mod.

I have a dedicated 2.4Ghz QuadCore with 8GB memory, running FreeBSD on a 100mb burst pipe and am looking to setup 4-6 sourceforts servers.. i've read your tutorial however am having problems with one part.

I've been following your guide here:
http://www.sourcefortsmod.com/index....ite_info_linux

and have got to the stage where it quotes:
Quote:
Then, execute the command "cvsup /usr/share/examples/cvsup/ports-supfile" as root and let it sit until finished. Once done, execute "cd /usr/ports/emulators/linux_base-rh-9 && make install" and let it run for as long as it takes. Now edit the file "/etc/rc.conf" and add this line to the bottom.
When I execute the command:
Code:
cvsup /usr/share/examples/cvsup/ports-supfile
as root I recieve the message
Code:
cvsup: Command not found.
I've then tried
Code:
whereis cvsup
and it returns:

Code:
cvsup: /usr/ports/net/cvsup
I have tried running it from here but it does not work. This server is only running a mail server for 20 people and 3 websites so it seems a waste not to use the power.

It's a fail joke. Would the servers be UK?

Yeh I run the server in central Docklands (London - Rack server) I run my father's business email/website etc via it. I breifly (to see what it was capable of) setup 6 CS: Source 32 player public servers with 66-100tick rate and after a few months when they were in regular use, the server stats still showed only 50-65% cpu usage.

So if you want more UK servers (which i'm happy to oblige) could someone help me solve this issue?

Seeing as the community nowadays has about 1 server populated at a time, do you think it's really necessary to add 4-6 new unused SF servers to the pool?

Not to rain on your parade or anything.

I appreciate what you're saying but it's hardly relevant to my question. Either way whether I run one or 20 servers I still need to know how to over come this cvsup issue, so if someone could kindly give me some support in helping me solve this I would be very greatful.

Hardly relevant? You're right, I guess it's only relevant if you enjoy wasting CPU cycles on servers that nobody will use. The CS:S servers would see more use, TBH.

Also, grateful.

Solved.

Code:
# cd /usr/ports/net/cvsup-without-gui
# make install clean
# rehash
