Sad news. I hoped the sourceforts development team would hold together better.. At least try to recruit new players, give hekar access to the development files, 1.95 might do really well.

Kind of confusing since in the development section there's a thread discussing when key individuals are ready to get back in action post-exam season - most of which have given promising responses and/or are currently getting back into the swing - but ok?

ok to make this clear.

I tried to get everybody working again in the past but everybody had exams... or at least the coders. Then there is the thread with the simple question when we are ready to beginn working a while back. And no our team leader posts that we are dead without letting any dev know!

There are two ways to handle that:
1. sarcasm -- laugh about it.
2. cry ( I nearly was as I've put a lot of work and time into this project)

and yes, I made the builderconcept, I made all of them!

1. nice drawings, and i as well as the other people here appreciate the work you are trying to do
2. don't worry, sourceforts will recover i am sure.
3. tf2 had a huge fucking update go play now kthx.

I should be studying for tomorrow's exam, but lurking here is so much fun :)

I'm pretty sure all the key developers are available and ready to work, but we're all in a position of disarray at the moment.

Things were looking up a while back, that wingdings date posted by Noc was actually the preparation for a series of nice updates. We had an awesome builder model in the works, and were going to show off some of the new building tools (Zoc made an excellent prototype). Somewhere along those lines, we just lost momentum and development just completely halted. I don't even know what half of the developers are up to at the moment.

The biggest concern any developer has had with PH is just that it seems to be cursed to many shortcomings and unpleasantries. There's always something going wrong (PCs blowing up, houses burning down) and it just makes anyone think twice before commiting any sort of work to the project. That combined with all the paradigm shifts SourceForts has gone through (which has lead to a lot of work being scrapped) just kills any possible motivation.

We all want to make the best game possible, but we're cursed.
