Default SF_Close Call *First*

Hello everyone i Had some spare time and was gonna go back and just do some visual changes to my first map i ever made and well... its pretty much a diffrent map.

NOW WITH!

*SMALLER MAP!
*60 PLAYER SPAWNS! (THATS 30 on 30 ACTION) if the game allows that...
*ALL METAL!
*MORE INTENSE CRAMPED ACTION!
*SKYBOX I SPENT LIKE THREE SECONDS ON!

Looks like a good first effort. I assume this is aimed at 1v1 play, since it is absolutely tiny. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it severely limits the appeal of the map, since no server is going to run a 1v1 map. Also, the outer walls are very dark compared to the grass, so you should add more lighting before release. The lighting you do have would look better if it had some prop_static lamp models to go along with it. Other than that, I can't say much judging from the screenshots alone.

It's always nice to see new maps, but next time you should really make a normal-sized one!

Holy crap that is tiny! I actually really want to do a 1v1 on that, looks like fun. Mudkip's right, though: public servers most likely won't be running it.

Well i have it set for 8 spawns WAY too many, its a good 3v3 or less sized map nice for LANing althought i cant get the outdoor lighting to work right but its REALLY fun

me+my dad played and it was awsome im going to make a small addition and relese a vmf for someone to get lighting + 3d sky right

Looks like your light_environment is pointing straight down actually. All vertical surfaces would only be getting ambient light and bounces. vrad doesn't do a good job at high noon light effects. Give the sun some pitch.

Next Update will Include:
  • Uniform block location for both sides
  • lighting fix + models
  • and updated Architecture

Yeah, once this is done, I would love to put it up on a listen server and frag it out with my brother sometime. But there's no question about it, no public server is going to run a map this small.

lol 8 v 8 on this map would kick ass!

looks like a fun map to play.
