Default a SF ski-slope

A recent post on this forum reminded me of my attempt to make a ski slope in SF.

I tried making a gigant slope, and sliding down it on a an unfrozen block, but failed majorly. Does anyone else think they have the skills to pull it off?

edit: if it's not obvious, this is in the "showcase" forum, so people can show their response to this challenge

Ma post for the win. I dont think it would be easy/possible to create a perfect slope which a block (which do not slide well in the first place) to slide down.

well if its a ski slope wouldnt you just be standing up and not on a block?

you could do that by having a bunch of 1x5s layered so the bottom of the higher block is more forward the lower block and have it more then a 45 deg angle
Code:
                  / )
                 / } one 1x5
                / )
                /
               /

Dunno, just read the first two posts about blocks and replied. If your not using something to get down the ramp, isnt it more of a hill lol?

If I remember correctly, this makes you bounce in progressively larger jumps down the slope.

Play around with air friction, friction, patented blocks and gravity.

With the right mix you could get an awesome ski slope!

I only know that with an sv_airacceleration of 100, and an angled slope, you can surf down it CS:S style. You could see how you could do that. I'm currently building a surf bum rush map.

Most CS:S servers have airacceleration at 100-150, 1000 seems a bit excessive
