Default features we need

Ok just a few things... a result of playing garrys mod...

1. ability to no clip in build mode.

2. air craft? jet packs? ejection seats? parachutes? jeeps? miniguns? cannons? catapults? ... anti vehicle mines ... artillery... terminator laser guns... just for fun but it gets boring with just death match and building crude bunkers.

3. a building hud that shows transparently a place to auto snap pieces. For example, in any server their is a mess of pieces and really poorly made sky bridges, and they take a lot of time to make... their should be a easy way to make precision structures.

4. a way to rotate pieces and middle-mouse-scroll away pieces like in garrys mod... we need also 45 degree snap rotation, also in garrys mod.

5. more premade shapes... premade bunkers and domes... roofs... battlement windows, etc. tired of the deck of cards look... how bout some sandbag bunkers and instant-hill type pieces to make a boring flat area have a trench or mound to slow the enemy...

6. how bout some night maps with search lights :P. Maps with water... islands... forests.. etc. Tired of buildings.

These things have only been suggested >300 times.

1) Do you really want five people flying around on a server without freezestatus and your shit being torn apart?

2) air craft? No. jet packs? No. ejection seats? No. parachutes? No. jeeps? On some maps (actually, they've stopped working in .4, so no) miniguns? AR2 cannons? Learn to gravnade catapults? AKA player cannons, and removed for the sake of completely ruining gameplay, aka No.

You don't have to play. If it gets boring doing the same thing, then don't. Most of the people on these forums have stopped building ages ago for the exact same reason you're describing.

3) Suggested a looooooooad of times. It requires a load of coding, which unfortunately, the dev team isn't capable of doing.

4) See above.

5) See above.

6) A bit too gimmicky. Honestly I wouldn't mind it to be harder to spot a potential capper, but since capping is plain useless, No.

I know there were at least two night maps, and they both kind of sucked. One was made by pastori, and I don't remember the other one but it had a bunch of spotlights.

6) Really thar have been night maps, plenty of them, people have just failed at lighting them, water same thing just for some reason people complained about the water even when not even deep enough to swim in (Prolly cuz they couldn't see nades sliding at them) and the maps are mostly citys/buildings as that is usually what concrete(Sourceforts Main texture) goes well in, and most of the maps are better explain with city skyboxes, but there have also been a lot of non-city/building/concrete skyboxes, just most of the maps are old and forgotten, or not on servers as server owners are lazy/don't come to sf forums/refuse to take map suggetions

a sourceforts map taking place not on a floating piece of concrete? i dare say
i know there are other maps that are not concrete textures but still
also i head water lags in sourceforts

water only lags in sourceforts because not many of the fags who make maps actually know or read about a thing called "optimization".

Because this mod is so dead, we don't exactly get many mappers, and the ones we do get, are usually pretty shit.
