Default Build Wall

Well you don't want people building on the build wall, but when players join a game for the first time, they see something that says "BUILD WALL." The build wall allows them to straighten out their blocks and they think that they're doing a good job at building since they're building on the BUILD wall and their blocks are completely straight!

I can't think of any names off the top of my head for a replacement for build wall, but an idea would be to just make the build wall one huge block disposer, so people don't build on it and the second they run into it or try to build on it, they sometimes die and their blocks get disposed of.

Yea I agree!

Sayyan dont say what we cant do! lol


As far as buildwalls in 1.9.x, mappers could semi get rid of this prob by having THICKER build walls. New people will always build on the build wall...some may even take the term as instructions to "build wall here".

I only just read the second part of your post, and it made me slam my head into a wall. Happy now?!

How user unfriendly is that, rather noobs build against the build wall, than they get severally pissed off because their blocks just keep disappearing while they're trying to build their awesome structure.

Scienci: The rest of the map likely wouldn't be of a very high standard if a mapper decided to do that. Rushing a base early on in a game won't be a successful endeavour and it would serve the team right for trying.

Some maps may include 'build zones', I'm inclined to think, which would activate for a short time after a point is captured, but if all we're worried about here is a name, it's not an issue...

just an idea for current sf maps. if you wanna get people to build somewhat right, gotta make it so that that they can't build at the build wall at all because essentially they'll just quit because if they make their main wall at the build wall, their team will get overrun and they will rage quit in the end. So it could be for the better. Dunno it was just an idea, could be worth a try.

GrimLuv, love. I didn't say you couldn't, I said that if a mapper decided to put a build wall in a map, the rest of their map would probably suck too.

i think there is a delay required before you can do anything ..
if you do it with a wall .. or disabled spawndoors .. or whatever you want .. but if the first one on a server can easily steal the opponents flag, while they connect, it is really unfair to that team .. so .. add some timers to the spawndoors that they open 30 sec after the 1st spawned in any team

if the maps will not have .. make it with gamecode ..
