Default SFFixed Installer 0.3b

Good evening,

I just compiled a new version of my SourceForts Installer/Fix.

Among a lot of other things I fixed:

Kill icons!
I know several people had this problem, found a fix : ) Should be nice and beautiful now.

Installer now has both fixes
You can now choose between which fix you want (Tobel's or Heckar's, both work great)

Both an update version, and a complete version is available!
If you just want to fix killicons, or fix SF, but you don't want to download the entire 150 MB installer you can just download a small 20mb version of the installer, which includes on the updates/fixes!

You can get it right here:

Have a merry christmas!

PS: I was also planning to post how to make a working linux server, but I didn't. Why? Check this thread:

Cool

Does this extract the needed files?

: ) It has all the extracted files inside the installer.

Also there are two versions:

1) A complete SF installer

2) A 7 MB updater, for existing installations (so you don't have to download the entire 150 mb installer)

Everything works perfectly now

Ah I just received reports from a few users that "Norton 2010" is reporting this as a "Medium risk".

I tried it myself, and it gets detected as:

WS.reputation.1

Which you can read about here:

http://www.symantec.com/security_res...051308-1854-99

Norton doesn't actually find any malware in the file, but it reports it because:

a) It is downloaded from an unknown/unpopular site (xsgaming)
b) The file has been used by less than 5 Norton users
c) Might be because its compressed by the NSIS compiler, not sure.

Anyway, I can confirm it is definitely NOT a virus.

If you still are suspicious/don't trust me, I understand completely:

-You can run it in a sandbox/honeypot machine and check everything it does - outgoing connections, etc/ there should be none

-I can give you the entire source to the installer, as well as all files you need, so you can check through them and compile it yourself. You will get exactly the same file as i posted here (you can check the file hash to be sure).

Thank you "Damage" for pointing this issue out : )
