Default Wiki Revival Project

I like this game, but I hate it's empty wiki. So, I've started to fill it out on the topic of fort designs. But I don't know everything and I don't have unlimited time. Plus, I think it would be cool if we could get a little more activity in the wiki.

What I'm asking for is for some of you to help me finish the Fort Designs section on the wiki. Category:Fort Designs. Basicly every article in there needs work, and they all need more pictures. I've made some headway. The whole section used to consist of only those paragraphs on the catagory page ^^; Of course, feel free to edit/create articles that aren't related to fort design at all. If you need help, I suggest Wikipedia's help section.

So whaddya say? Gonna help out?

Lawl. But no. NEway, back to the wiki. My biggest problem, I think, will be the tunneling article. I have no idea how to do it. I was also thinking of maybe making one for block control...

I've contributed a bit to the wiki, see Trickjumping, Uberfort and Flag drop.

I noticed that you yourself (or somebody) had actually done another Uberfort and another Flag drop page. You gotta be careful with it being case sensitive. Best thing is to search before making the articles. ;-) (There isn't a search function, but browsing through the articles on the front page will get links to them)

Make (or copy someone elses) search function.
Make large, working, dynamic indexes (so if you were to make an article called 'clan history' you could add it to a section in the wiki's index called 'community')
Finish, create or remove broken links, such as that one called community portal.

Yeah, it was me that created those duplicate atrticles. I merged them, fixed links and added redirects.

So uh... Roflcopter... The wiki already has a serch function (I found it just five mins ago.) How would we go about adding links to it on the main sidebar? And how about making those indexs?

in a way similar to the cake, the search is a lie.

and if it isn't, it doesn't count as being there if after 2 minutes of looking a still couldn't find it.

The search function: go to the wiki, hit special pages, then hit search.
http://www.sourcefortsmod.com/wiki/i...Special:Search
(I had to wikipedia default settings >.< )

To make a page in the wiki, you need an account. Then, on some other page, place a link to the page you want to build (strange, I know) A link would be like [[Apples]]. Once you're done editing, look at the page you just edited. If the link is blue, then a page already exists. if it is red, there is no page and you can create one. Just click on the red link, hit edit, and create the page!
