The forum is still alive. (To some degree.)
I think that's an achievement in itself.
Is any of the players still "alive", let alone the "splintered from SF" mods?
What's happened in the past year or two?
Oh and hopefully there's no hard feelings if they still exist?

Well, 12 hours after the fix was posted, there was a server up and running with 9 people playing.
Next day Az got his servers up and there was an epic pug.
So yes, I think SF is pretty much alive.
I also think if SF officially released either their own new installer, or mine, then a lot more people would join, since ATM you need to do crap manually to get SF to work, and I know from experience that this
a) Makes people wary of the mod, seeing it as a badly made, crappy mod, if they have to fix it themselves
b) They are too lazy to fix it themselves, so they just fuck it.

Interesting. Is there any development on other mods or 2.0/Haven etc?

2.0/haven/etc development is pretty dead
if you take what we called the game being "dead" in 1.9.2 and divided the player base by 20, you have what we have now.

@Black, Hekar's Luminous Forts is being developed....thats the only segment of SF being developed to my Knowledge...CNS died....
I also believe he was doing a release this Christmas break.....otherwise there is the SVN....

Is that a one man band mod? (Not that I'm saying that's bad, I just have no information or recollection of Luminous Forts at all. I easily recall SF, Construct, that Unreal Tournament/Quake version, NeoForts, I'm sure there were others too.)

Hekar is the only one truly working on it, Azgag has done some mapping, i've done small amounts myself, also must give credit to the CNS team for use of the CNS blocks....but yeah thats pretty much it.... So kinda 2 people with me cheering them on...kinda

Wow that's a pretty good idea. An open sourced mod, using the resources of anyone that feels like contributing, like the block models. (Why are the forums empty though, are they in use?)
