It's not an excuse: nobody here cares. Seriously. If you want people, get people, then we can help by posting official announcements/cleaning up the forums/whatever else is needed. Literally everyone we've (we being the "veteran" population that played this game years ago) ever talked to or played the game with has quit, and for good reason. 1.9x is dead, we no longer support it, no more iterations of it will come out. PH/2.0 is the version that's currently being worked on, and it's a major rework of everything, only featuring traces of resemblance to 1.9x in its current form.

Maybe we let it be dead, but if we let it be dead, it's because we know the amount of work that would take to bring the game back to stability is something that:

a) requires tons of advertising
b) requires tons of people willing to host servers that will largely remain empty for a long time
c) requires players that are willing to play when literally 0 people are playing
d) takes away from our ability to code the next version if we are too focused on 1.9x

If we do try to bugfix 1.9x and a-c don't happen, then it's a complete waste of our time.
