Just for my curiosity, if the game suddenly becomes very popular again. There will be a high demand very soon on fixing bugs and adding new features etc.. How willing are devs to really push for such a result that they continue to stay. I know I don't have much insight in how sf2 is going and all that. But just more in theory, should I be afraid to let some new guys down?

But ye, I will give the next 2 weeks a good shot!
There is no way we'll be patching or even working on the 1.9.x series. and I'll just say this: we had a 6 hours meeting yesterday with the other SF devs.

And that you wont keep working on 1.9.x is ok by me, I actually ment just developing stuff. Does not matter if it is sf 2, sf 3, ph or whaterver it might be.

I know you are probably pretty "angry" of that many people asking stuff all over again. But is it us to blame? I my opinion you do to little of anouncing stuff on the website. I don't care if it is good or bad news but the last post apart from at tiny twet was made almost one year ago.. you seems to have something to defend. Or am I totaly wrong here? I proabably are cuse you do not post about anything!




(I am not proud of this post and you(anyone really) can just ingonre it if you want. I am still gonna try to get players and big play in 2 weeks.)

we posted about why there has be no progress lately (well Shattered did). We used to be 13 developpers, most of them disapeared or were too lazy to do anything (even check the forums...) we cleaned the house and are 4 devs and 5 testers.

Also there's no point in making a news just for the sake of making a news ("Hai guys, we have nothing to show, but this is news. KTHXBAI").

Once we'll get something worth posting, we will (btw, I just remembered, #s posted a few dev diary 1-2 months ago about his process of making maps).

It is stickied, there are 15 threads saying literally the same thing, and in 30 seconds of searching you could find all the answers you need.

We don't have a lot of announcements to post. A lot of releases come in the developer diary forum and randomly elsewhere. Look at the thread I linked to in my previous post. I don't get what you mean by we have "something to defend"? Stuff is going on, we keep people updated, if you bothered to look through the forums you could find it in no more than 5 minutes. Again, just a reminder: this is our spare time. We don't get paid for this. It's essentially our collective hobby, and we're working on the next version for probably the most unloyal (for good reason, though) game mod community in history.

We can't instantly develop a game, because, and I think I speak for most of us actually working on the game, these are priorities that we focus on before SF (in no particular order):

1) our health
2) our education (all of us are in some form of higher education)
3) our jobs
4) our families, friends, relationships
5) other hobbies/sports/extracurriculars etc that we focus on either as a break or spend most of our time doing, given that we aren't going to spend every waking moment of our lives that can be considered "free time" developing this.
