Default ? about 2.0

Ok I have TF2, everyone says that 2.0 will be "something" like TF2. My question is if I made a map basically a replica of TF2 map would it be a complete waste of time? LOL How much "like TF2" is this going to be?

I wasn't aware that it was going to be anything like TF2...

More like TFC than TF2.

TFC had wonderful push maps - we actually alpha'd in map designs sto... borrowed from TFC.

If you make a balanced, linear map with clear chokepoints for building in, your map will be fine, as long as there is enough variety between the chokepoints to prevent it getting boring.

I think I still have a copy of the map, assuming Khukan's talking about hv_warpath. I could share if Khuskan is alright with it (or Monty, because I think it was him who originally made it.)

Yeah it's hv_warpath he's talking about and Monty was the maker.

Monty also made a tiny corner of the map that looks really nice, I can't remember what it was called though.

Original maps will work far better. I personally didn't feel warpath worked all that well, and isn't particurly accurate considering the tests we had had absolutley no class balancing whatsoever.

It's the right sort of style though, map split by chokepoints. It was too large scale for our tests, and at the time of testing too many features were incomplete.
