- Replace the i7 920 with an i7 860 (same price, faster processor)
- get a lga 1156 mobo (should be cheaper)
- however much you saved over your current setup goes to a better gpu

I have the same motherboard, it's pretty sweet when everything fucks up and you just boot up and access the Internet for help from the motherboard itself. Other's probably do it, but I've never used it before.
Like Monty said, if you're going to buy an I7 lower than a I7 950 (EG the 920 or the 940) You should be after Hyper threading and utilizing the most from triple channel memory, otherwise you'd be better off with what he suggested 860 etc, cheaper in some cases and probably faster if you don't need those above I7 bonuses.
One thing to be careful of with your MEDIUM case and any latest graphics cards, specifically the GTX200 series and the ATI 5000's, they're fucking huge. So you might want to find the measurements and see if it would fit first.
Although 850W is mostlikely more than enough to run all that, just to be on the safe side. Work it out, just to make sure. Night0r sounds like he needs a new PSU (Actually being serious) Since his GFX card alone needs 450w and it's a 450w PSU, so that's probably the reason for most of his crashes and such.
Everything else I haven't really got a comment on. Interested to know though, what's your monitor size?
You'll probably skip over this any way since I'm posting this but whatever.
