hahaha
well its nice to have such a warm welcome back.
nice to see red and other firmiliar faces.
well, my story.
back in 2004 i gradded nautical college and got a degree in nautical science.
i spent the summers at sea (working on container ships, oil tankers, bulk carriers)
and the winters grooming the local ski hill here.
as my sea time grew as with the list of countires ive visited i came closer and closer to my ONII ticket (2nd mate) {two below captain, it goes captain, cheif officer, 2nd mate 3rd mate.,...}
anyways. i needed 11 months to get it, so after a long discussion with the girlfriend i went to sea; she came along taking a leave of absence from work for 4 months and just lived aboard and cooked NORTH AMERICAN FOOD! (oh yeah, no pig anus for hermie) and stayed in my cabin with me. (also got in favour of the captain, so we got to go ashore more often than anyone else
so we went all over. ensenada, manzanillo, lazardo cardenas, <--mexico
oakland, LA, portland, vancouver, valdez, mobile, new york, boston, halifax <-- north america
panama, japan, taiwan, vietnam, saudi arabia,egypt, greece italy, brazil, congo, madagascar, morocco england, france, germany, holland etc etc.
basically everywhere EXCEPT hawaii, and australia is the best way to put it.
and yeah, thats my story, im back for the winter
