Default How to type a paragraph on the internet

The internet does not believe in tabs. However it does believe in proper paragraph form as adressed by WCC and their <p> tag. In order to form a paragraph on a WYSIWYG editor one must hit enter precisely two times. If not done properly the resulting paragraph will appear directly below the last paragraph.

That can be very confusing especially when the paragraphs become excessively lengthy. In order to alleviate this problem, hit enter twice. Three times has been scientifically proven to be one too many times. Stick with two. Below are some example of good and bad paragraphs as represented by old AP History essays.

Bad:

The debates surrounding the movement towards a hard backed currency
sped the development of the People’s Party because of the economic growth
in the farming industry and the changes needed to sustain the industry. The farm
industry grew exponentially from 1870 to 1890. This growth was the root cause
of the monetary problems. The two largest movements were towards either a
gold or silver standard. The discontent of the farmers on the issue caused
them to unite and form the Farmer’s Alliance which eventually became the People’s Party.
The rush of immigrants into the United States after the Civil War noticeably
propelled metropolitan industries forward. Less obvious is the growth that
the agricultural industry experienced. Immigrants and Americans alike
began moving west in search of new opportunities. Grain proved to
be the most popular product. The amount of grain being produced
was three times as much as the United States population needed.
Exports rose and money soon became an issue. The competition
in Europe and the falling prices caused farmers to lash out at local
branches such as banks. As deflation problems became prevalent, farmers
searched for a way to increase the value of their crops and curb deflation.

Good:

The movement towards larger more industrial cities, and the better means of transporting goods helped produce a national consumer market. The influx of immigrants after the Civil War amplified the availability of people able to work and allowed for large-scale expansion of industry in cities. The advances in rail technology and the expansion of rail systems allowed for goods to be shipped around the country. With new labor laws and a focus on workers’ rights, middle-class Americans were able to enjoy social aspects of life.

Immigrants poured into north-eastern cities after the Civil War. Cities grew exponentially, and industries grew with them. Almost all city occupants worked in factories for low wages. They lived in small apartments or dilapidated houses and were unable to produce their own goods. Everything they needed was to be bought. The movement away from cottage industries meant that goods needed to be shipped into cities where people could buy them. Supermarkets eventually opened and centralized various goods in one location. The markets expanded to include areas that were producing in-demand goods. Goods were shipped from city to city and the national market grew.

Also, this post was so long I didn't even read the whole thing. (TL;DR)
