So a friend asked me today to host a server, so i looked for a bit and got a server up and running! The problem is Source SDk 2006 is Windows and Mac only after an update last year, which means i need to host it on my own computer instead of my Linux dedicated server. Sadly that means it won't be up 24/7 if there's anyone who owns a Windows Server with free capacity add me on Steam ;) Server IP: 134.255.234.209 Teamspeak 3 Server: 85.214.38.184 Server is running on 1.9.4.1 to join you need the latest Source SDK 2006 and Sourceforts 1.9.4.1 with Tokel's Fix/Update - Download[www.sourceforts2.com] If you want to host your own Server here a quick Tutorial: Download SteamCMD Save it in a empty folder and run the executable Commands: login anonymous force_install_dir .\sourceforts\ app_update 205 validate app_update 215 validate quit Now you got the Source SDK, copy the sourceforts folder from your installation Programms/Steam/SteamApps/sourcemods and paste it to the sourceforts folder you created with SteamCMD it should look simliar to this[i.imgur.com] open your windows console (windowskey + R and type cmd) navigate to your server installation, start the server with the following command: srcds.exe -console -game sourceforts +map sf_overload -maxplayers 16 The SRCDS console should now open and the server starts! If your want people be able to connect, forward the port 27015 udp/tcp in your router.
