hey people
since last week, some guys are DOSing every SF servers...
Here is a plugin called DAF - Dos Attack Fixer
It's working pretty well against most of DOS attacks.
I've equipped Nox servers with this plugin, same for my server. And apparently they are DOSing other servers, so i decided I'll post this here.
I had to modify the .vdf to make it work with SF.

How to install it:
1- unzip the daf.zip somewhere you will be able to find later.
2- connect to your server's FTP.
3- the daf folder and the dosattackfix.vdf goes into the sourceforts/addons folder (where your Metamod.vdf should be).
4- reboot your server
5- if you have HLSW type in the console: daf_status to see if the plugin is working

Here are some usefull commands:

Code:

Console commands:
daf_status
- Returns the status of the DoS Attack Fix plugin and prints the IP address of any blocked offenders
daf_reset
- Resets the banned IP list
daf_version
- The version of the DoS Attack Fix plugin
daf_enable
- Enables the DoS Attack Fix plugin (defaults to on)
daf_log
- Enables logging of new attackers to file (defaults to off; saves to addons/daf/log.txt)

P.S: Beware, Apparently McAfee detects one of the files as Trojan linux/DoS. see Scan results in the 2nd page of this Topic.
