Alum, Common Council President Willie Hines to speak Oct. 24

Willie L. Hines, Jr., president of the Milwaukee Common Council and a 1988 Marquette graduate, on Wednesday, Oct. 24, will discuss with students his journey from Marquette to city hall. The "Soup with Substance" program will be held from noon to
1 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union, Room 157.

Hines will invite students to discuss with him ways that they might nurture their own interests in improving the quality of life for all citizens of large urban areas like Milwaukee.
