The Moroccan-American Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange

Moroccans began benefiting from Fulbright study grants even before independence in 1956. In 1967, the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States of America signed a Cultural Agreement which led to increased educational and cultural exchanges.

The Moroccan-American Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange, or MACECE, has been facilitating academic exchanges between Morocco and the United States for over 25 years. MACECE runs several programs, the most prominent of which is the worldwide Fulbright program. Other programs administered by MACECE are undergraduate exchange, teacher training and professional development.
