Junior Eugene Ellis Papers, RS 16/3/4/56

Junior Eugene Ellis grew up near Dexter in Dallas County, Iowa. He was a member of the Unions Pride 4-H Club during the 1930s and three times (1935-1937) was a member of the Iowa delegation to the National 4-H Club Congress in Chicago.

This collection, received shortly after Ellis' passing in 2011, contains many his 4-H records, including record books, news clippings, and photographs. The collection also contains souvenirs and printed materials from his 4-H trips to Chicago. A variety of artifacts, including 4-H stocking caps from the era and panoramic photographs were also donated.
