International Education Week 2012

A joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to recognize the global exchange environment between the United States and other countries, International Education Week (November 12-16, 2012) is a celebration and promotion of international education and exchange. Since 2000 IEW has been an annual nationwide celebration that focuses on the importance of increasing knowledge and awareness of the world’s cultures among students and the wider campus community.

The Fulbright Program

Welcome to the website of the Commission for Educational Exchange between the United States and Belgium.

In the advising center of the Commission, you’ll find information on university studies in the U.S. at the undergraduate (Bachelor’s), graduate (Master’s and Ph.D) and post-doctoral levels. Information on intensive English courses, as well as limited information on internships and youth exchange programs is also available.

The Commission administers the Fulbright scholarship program. Grants are available to citizens of Belgium for graduate study (Master’s or Ph.D) and post-doctoral research or university lecturing. Special programs for language teaching assistants (French and German) and secondary school teachers of English also exist.

U.S. citizens seeking Fulbright grants for study or research in Belgium or Luxembourg can also obtain information from the Commission.

The Commission also administers the Fulbright-Schuman Program for post-doctoral research or university lecturing in European Union Affairs.
