This is a collection of Intergovernmental and Non-governmental Organizations (IGOs and NGOs) that focus on the environmental policy of climate change and global warming. We're extremely interested -- for purely academic reasons -- in how this collection is being used and would be grateful if users would share that information with us. Description: Web site of the Global Environment Facility (GEF)which was founded in 1991 and unites 182 member governments — in partnership with international institutions, nongovernmental organizations, and the private sector — to address global environmental issues. The GEF provides grants to developing countries and countries with economies in transition for projects related to biodiversity, climate change, international waters, land degradation, the ozone layer, and persistent organic pollutants.
