The Arizona Court of Appeals granted a stay to allow the IRC's Precleared 2002 Legislative Map to be used in the Fall elections.

The "April 12" map was submitted to Maricopa County Superior Court and ordered to be submitted to the Department of Justice for preclearance.

The Commission adopted the "April 12" map in response to public comments received and for minor technical changes to the previous map.
