In May 2008, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill joined a select group of nationally recognized universities in receiving a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA). The CTSA program is a consortium of 55 academic medical research institutions funded through and led by the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Our mission is to transform all activities relating to clinical and translational research by creating new programs and pathways that make it easier for research to be performed at UNC and throughout the state of North Carolina.
