About Us

Who we are

We are the Institute for Integration of Medicine and Science (IIMS). This is the institutional home for the Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) granted to the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) and its partner organizations.

The CTSA grant was awarded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2007. Our mission is to integrate clinical and translational research and career development across the South Texas area. We are reducing barriers to research and stimulating the transformation of knowledge into improved health care for Texas residents.

To accomplish this requires collaboration with many different organizations and input from many sources. This site will grow and improve as the users suggest new and informative content. We would very much like to hear from our community members about what they would like to see on this site – please send us email at iims@uthscsa.edu with your suggestions and comments.
