CLIMATE CHANGE
RFF’s attention to climate change dates back almost 30 years, well before most policymakers were focused on the issue. More recently, researchers working in RFF’s Climate Policy Program have focused on developing and understanding cost-effective strategies to limit greenhouse gas emissions.
Key areas of RFF current research include options for U.S. domestic climate policy at the state and federal levels, international trade and competitiveness issues, options for international climate policy architectures, approaches for reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, and climate adaptation policy.
