It is my honor to serve you as your representative in Richmond. Please use this site to stay updated on my latest legislative initiatives, committee work and other matters that relate to the General Assembly. The state government plays a significant role in our daily lives, so I take my job representing you in Richmond very seriously. Whether the issues discussed are taxes, public safety, healthcare, technology, transportation or a myriad of others, I welcome your thoughts. I am excited to be heading back to Richmond in January for the 2012 session of the Virginia General Assembly. We have many challenges that face us during this session, but we also have the opportunity to restructure and reform how Virginia government does its business and how it spends your taxpayer dollars.
Governor McDonnell has appointed me to his Governor's Commission on Government Reform and Restructuring, and we have been hard at work to find ways to reduce the size of Virginia's government. We are also finding ways to eliminate duplication of departments and to reduce the number of agencies that handle the same items.
I truly enjoy hearing from my constituents, and it is vital to our representative process that I know what the folks in the 78th House of Delegates district thinks about issues that are important to them.
