Welcome to the new Co-editors of Honors@ Iowa
The Honors Program is proud to announce Dylan Todd and Hannah Bruntz and the new Honors@Iowa newsletter co-editors for the 2012-2013 academic year. The publication has flourished under the leadership of Maggie Brigl, who served as an Honors Editing Fellow from 2010-2012 and graduated this spring with bachelor of arts degrees in English and Psychology, and a minor in mass communications.
Dylan Todd is a senior neurobiology major with minors in chemistry and statistics, as well as a keen eye for design. Todd has already revamped the look of Honors@Iowa, making this summer’s issue sleek and interactive. As an Honors Writing Fellow and Honors Peer Advisor, Todd is heavily involved with the Honors program at Iowa and is eager to illustrate the wonderful opportunities the Honors Program has to offer through his work on the publication.
Hannah Bruntz is a senior journalism major with an English minor and certificate in fundraising and philanthropy communication. Bruntz hopes that her background in journalism and time spent in the Belin-Blank Honors Center will benefit her in co-editing Honors@Iowa.
Todd and Bruntz understand that they have big shoes to fill and hope to live up to the legacy that Brigl leaves behind. The Honors Program is confident that the combination of Bruntz and Todd’s expertise under the direction of the Honors Advising Director, Holly Yoder, will make for excellent issues of Honors@Iowa in the coming year. Welcome
Honors at Iowa is an intellectual community for talented-and-gifted education through learning by doing.
Our home is the Iowa Honors Connection. Its award-winning Blank Honors Center links by skywalk to the Honors House that fills Daum Residence Hall and part of a second residence hall on the near eastside of campus. Honors House South and North are principally for entering Honors Students; and just one block away is the Honors Centerstone Community for residence by advanced Honors Students.
Our spark is the distinctive Honors Plus program of seminars, workshops, teams, researches, trips, performances, internships, scholarships, along with further opportunities.
And our pride is the terrific network of students, staff, and faculty who can become your friends for life.
