Another Explanation For Those "Folks"

The inestimably genial John Derbyshire recently wrote on Barak Hussein Obama's use "folks" to refer to people, attributing it to a desire by the 1%ers to appeal to the unwashed masses.

Not half as irritating, though, as Obama's habit of referring to human beings in the plural as "folks." I just went through the debate transcript counting occurrences of the word "folks." There were 22 altogether, with the breakdown: Obama 17, Romney 3, moderator 2. So Obama is nearly six times as völkisch as Romney. I'll leave you to research for yourselves the history of the völkisch movement.

While I have no doubt concerning the radical left's need to appeal to the masses, there is another explanation for Obama's use of "folks."  

Chi-town is a city beset by problems, and street gangs are one of its worst problems.  And one of the major street gang affiliates is the Folk Nation.  Unlike its rival, People Nation, Folk is predominately, but not not exclusively black, while People Nation is predominately though not exclusively Hispanic.  Mike Tyson is an example of a black associated with the People.  But Obama, by his continuous reference to "folks," might be telling us that he is even more like Stalin than most thought.  Remember Stalin got his start as a bank robber.  Typical street gang stuff.  Our Red Obama is just aligning himself with his fellow blacks, his "folks"...ehr...Folk.  Besides being our first black president, he might be our first black street gang president.

Not Optimal and Not Terrorism: Dead White Males

We know why Barak Hussein Obama, Hillary!, Samantha Powers and Susan Rice, did not consider the attack on Benghazi a terrorist attack.  It is the issue of Dead White Males.  The four dead where people they hate to their core.  Even if one was a Demoncrat homosexual, they still have sins to atone for, white and male.

'If Four Americans Get Killed, It's Not OPTIMAL': Obama's Extraordinary Response To Comedy Central Question About Shifting Story After Benghazi Attack

President Barack Obama, during an interview shown on Comedy Central, has responded to a question about his administration's confused communication after the Benghazi attack, by saying: 'If four Americans get killed, it’s not optimal.'

Obama was speaking to Jon Stewart of The Daily Show for a programme that was broadcast last night. Stewart, a liberal whose young audience is full of potential voters prized by the Obama campaign, asked the president about his handling of the aftermath of the Benghazi attack.

But Obama's response sparked outrage among Republican commentators including the website Breitbart and prompted a vicious backlash from the Twitter community.

Now Obama is known for his lack of emotions, he has a Stalin-like ability to hate people, which is no surprised since he was practically raised by a black card-carrying communist, Frank Marshal Davis.

There has been much discussion in the right-wing blogosphere whether Obama is a anti-colonialist, hard leftist, typical Demoncrat, or corrupt Chicago Alynskite.  But given what came out on the Daily Show, it is clear that Obama is really what this blog has always called him, a racist Communist.  His lack of common human decency in the face of the death of a fellow leftist, homosexual, and wild-eyed sympathizer with the Third World, Ambassador Christopher Stevens, shows just how deep Obama's hatred for white people is.  Now the two dead former Navy SeALS never had any chance of any sympathy from Obama, but one might expect a Demoncrat minor bureaucrat like Sean Smith to get some emotional concern from Obama, but Smith, like the others, was born with the original sin of white maleness.  And all he got was "not optimal."

Which also explains the attempt at political jiu-jitsu that the Regime attempted by trying to blame the attack on the infamous video.  And who was behind that strategy, none but Obama's fellow black, Susan Rice.  Rice lied through her teeth on numerous Sunday talking head shows claiming that there was a demonstration that morphed into an attack all because of the video.  What would motivate that series of lies?  Well, besides believing that the press would do nothing?  A contempt and hatred for white men based on her shared ideology with Barak Hussein Obama:  White men are evil oppressors and that is the price they must pay for making the world safe for communism, even the homosexual ones.

Now if the dead Americans were 17 year old black thugs attacking a white man in the street...

ICE SVU Now Amnestying Terrorists

In a complete and total failure that exposes a dangerous opening for Muslim terrorists, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Special Victims Unit (ICE SVU) commonly refered to as ICE Homeland Security Investigations (ICE HSI), an open advocate of Muslim terrorism was allowed to obtain a student visa and enter the United States.

Joint Terrorism Task Force Arrests Man in Lower Manhattan After He Attempted to Bomb New York Federal Reserve Bank

BROOKLYN, NY—Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis (Nafis), 21, was arrested this morning in downtown Manhattan after he allegedly attempted to detonate what he believed to be a 1,000-pound bomb at the New York Federal Reserve Bank on Liberty Street in lower Manhattan’s financial district. The defendant faces charges of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction and attempting to provide material support to al Qaeda.

The arrest of Nafis was the culmination of an undercover operation during which he was closely monitored by the FBI New York Field Office’s Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF). The explosives that he allegedly sought and attempted to use had been rendered inoperable by law enforcement and posed no threat to the public.

Prominent by their absence from the list of investigating agencies was ICE SVU:

The charges were announced by Loretta E. Lynch, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York; Lisa Monaco, Assistant Attorney General for National Security; Mary E. Galligan, Acting Assistant Director in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation, New York Field Office (FBI); and Raymond W. Kelly, Commissioner, New York City Police Department (NYPD).

The most frightening aspect of this case was that the terrorist was open about his sympthies and intent, but managed to evade detection by Department of State Consular Officers who issued him an F-1 student visa and was subsequently admitted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.  But the real culprit was ICE SVU Visa Security Officers stationed at American diplomatic posts in high-risk countries, such as Bangladesh, who are charged with reviewing visa applications and prohibiting issuance of visas to potential terrorists, such as Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis, also know as the Rat:

According to the criminal complaint filed today in the Eastern District of New York, defendant Nafis, a Bangladeshi national, traveled to the United States in January 2012 for the purpose of conducting a terrorist attack on U.S. soil. Nafis, who reported having overseas connections to al Qaeda, attempted to recruit individuals to form a terrorist cell inside the United States. Nafis also actively sought out al Qaeda contacts within the United States to assist him in carrying out an attack. Unbeknownst to Nafis, one of the individuals he attempted to recruit was actually a source for the FBI. Through the investigation, FBI agents and NYPD detectives working with the JTTF were able to closely monitor Nafis as he attempted to implement his plan.

A young Muslim from a terrorist source country applying for a student visa.  One would think that the ICE SVU Visa Security Officer might have done a little research and questioning of Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis, also know as the Rat, but obiviously one of the alleged priorities of ICE, stopping terrorism, is mere boob bait for bubbas, while ICE SVU's real priority is amnesty, cheese smuggling, and child porn.



Another Administrative Amnesty

The Obama Regime is continuing its policy of Administrative Amnesties.  U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that the rule-making process for the latest amnesty is finished and the amnesty will be formalized and a form issued for the amnesty.  This amnesty will benefit illegal aliens living in the United States with spouses, adult siblings, and adult children, as well as illegal aliens with employer sponsor.

What Happened With the I-601A Waiver?

With the large amount of attention on election-year immigration politics and the June 15, 2012, implementation of deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA), the other important pro-immigration initiative of the Obama administration, the provisional waiver of inadmissibility for certain immediate relatives of U.S. citizens (a.k.a. the I-601A waiver) appears to have become lost in the woodwork. The initiative was first broached by U.S.C.I.S. in its June 6, 2011, Rome meeting by its International Operations Division, followed by a notice of intent on January 6, 2012, to publish a rule allowing immediate relatives of U.S. citizens who are eligible for immigration other than having entered the U.S. without inspection to file a waiver of inadmissibility in the U.S. and have it adjudicated in the States prior to having to make the decision of whether to leave the U.S. to consular process their approved petitions; and further moved along by notice of proposed rulemaking on March 30, 2012. Since then, almost no news...

Persons who have been in the U.S. for 180 days or 1 year incur bars on return of 3 years and 10 years respectively. If they have I-130 immigrant petitions approved, are not eligible for adjustment of status under Section 245(i), and choose to consular process their immigrant visas overseas, they would first be denied at interview, informed that they are excludable from the States, and informed that they can file for a waiver of the 3/10 year bars through form I-601 by proving extreme hardship to the U.S. citizen qualifying member if the applicant cannot return the the States. The Obama Administration's initiative would allow the applicant to see the results of the waiver application before making the decision to leave the U.S. for a consular interview. The waiver application would be made on Form I-601A Application for Provisional Unlawful Presence Waiver, and if approved, would allow most immigrant visa interviews to be routine and uneventful.

In sum, the Obama Regime, through an administrative rule making process, has administratively repealed another Act of Congress, the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996, which forced illegal aliens to apply for waivers overseas, where they were routinely denied, and the aliens prevented from entering the United States for the period of the ban, and afterward as well.

Just more lawlessness from the Regime.  And what will Mittens do when he is inaugurated?

More Catch And Release

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Special Victims Unit (ICE SVU), in a departure from their sex crimes work, provided some kabuki theater immigration enforcement on Thursday.  It arrested dozens of lawfully admitted aliens admitted to study for working illegally as pedicab operators in San Diego.  Curiously ICE SVU then immediately released the students and instructed them to leave the country.

ICE Agents Raid Downtown Apartments, Arrest Dozens Of Pedicab Operators

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Federal agents fanned out through the Gaslamp Quarter Thursday and rounded up dozens of foreign nationals violating their student visas by working as pedicab drivers in the popular tourist district, authorities reported.

The raids of downtown San Diego apartments began at about 6 a.m. and continued through the late morning, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials.

The roughly 40 people taken into custody, mostly young adults from Eastern Europe, were questioned and informed of the revocation of their visas, ICE spokeswoman Lauren Mack said. They were then released on condition that they leave the United States within 30 days, she said.

Most of those detained had been allowed into the country to attend school and were prohibited from working during their stays, according to Mack. Any of them who fail to leave voluntarily will be subject to deportation proceedings, she said.

 

I do not know if it was just a reporter ignorant of the law and misreported what ICE SVU did, but ICE SVU cannot revoke visas.  Only the Department of State (DOS) can revoke a visa.  Perhaps the visas were revoked and ICE SVU was just informing the aliens of the DOS action, but unlikely, as DOS revokes visas only rarely and never enmasse such as this.

More amuzing was the return of catch and release, the policy of arresting then releasing illegal aliens that became the bane of the U.S. Border Patrol in the late Jorge Bush Regime, which was supposedly ended.

Of more interest is the claim by ICE SVU that the aliens must leave within 30 days.  An alien arrested in the United States has a right to a hearing before the Executive Office For Immigration Review.  It is explicit in the story that the students were ordered to leave.  ICE SVU does not have that authority, unless by chance they used their Expedited Removal authority, but that is unlikely, as ICE SVU should have placed them in custody, then on the next aircraft out of the United States.  However in the case of Expedited Removal, if an alien fails to leave, the next step is not any further removal proceedings, but ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations placing the alien on the next conveyance out. 

The only other option is that all the aliens waived their rights to a hearing and agreed to depart voluntarily, but that is not what the story says, it says they were ordered.

Is ICE SVU's kabuki immigration enforcement outside the laws of the United States?  It could be.  It is clear that this was a performance for the cameras, as CBS 8 was apparently invited along for the action.  Is this a "Wag The Dog" immigration enforcement action designed to help the relection of Barak Hussein Obama?

But in any event, how many of these alien students will be leaving voluntarily?  Very few most likely.  They will remain, working in the underground economy because they were released.  And from their work as pedicab operators, their so-called studies were not the reason they came here, but employment was the reason they obtained student visas, and, by the way, the ability to get a California Driver's License or Identification Card.  They also have an Social Security Number as well.  It is clear that this ICE SVU operation was boob bait for bubbas.

ICE SVU Out Of Immigration Enforcement Business

Three stories in the recent week show just how egregious U.S. Immigration and Customs Special Victims Unit's (ICE SVU) failure to execute its duties as required by law.

In the first, it has failed, again, to arrest the homosexual activist Jose Antonio Vargas, an illegal alien from the Philippines, who publically announced his illegal status.  He was arrested recently for driving without a license and wearing headphones while driving.  He was booked and held, then released because ICE SVU does not arrest illegal aliens anymore.

Immigration Authorities Say They Won't Move Against Journalist Who's In US Illegally

MINNEAPOLIS - Immigration authorities said Monday they won't take action against a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who was arrested in Minnesota for driving without a valid license.

Jose Antonio Vargas attracted national attention last year when he revealed that he's an illegal immigrant. He was scheduled to speak at Carleton College in Northfield last Friday but never made it.

When a state trooper stopped him in Minneapolis for driving with headphones on, Vargas produced a canceled Washington state driver's license, said Lt. Eric Roeske, a spokesman for the Minnesota State Patrol.

"He did not have a valid license, and the identification he produced when the trooper ran a check on it indicated it was canceled due to some sort of fraudulent activity, so there was some doubt to his actual identity," Roeske said.

Vargas was booked at the Hennepin County Jail and released on his own recognizance Friday pending a court appearance set for Oct. 18. The State Patrol contacted Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Roeske said, but the federal agency did not block his release.

And the typical ICE SVU excuse for not arresting an illegal alien who falls into their lap:

An ICE spokeswoman in Washington said Monday that the agency intends to leave Vargas alone because he's not a high priority.

"Mr. Vargas was not arrested by ICE nor did the agency issue a detainer," Gillian Christensen said in an email statement. "ICE is focused on smart, effective immigration enforcement that prioritizes the removal of public safety threats, recent border crossers and egregious immigration law violators, such as those who have been previously removed from the United States."

And it is not as if ICE SVU had to expend any resources.  They could have filled in a few forms and issued a detainer or even just released him for a hearing before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).  There would have been minimal effort and resources, but the real reason for ICE SVU's inaction was a support for illegal immigration.  Undoubtedly Vargas will be voting for Barak Hussein Obama.  It has nothing to do with smart, effective immigration enforcement.  This is non-enforcement.  It is not as if ICE SVU is busy arresting alien terrorists, recently entered illegal aliens, or egregious immigration law violators like Vargas. 

In fact ICE SVU is busy arresting American citizens for sex crimes; crimes that are traditionally enforced at the local level, or at the Federal level, by the FBI.  To wit ICE SVU recently arrested a Puerto Rican woman for pimping out her daughter, both of whom are American citizens.

Puerto Rican Mother Charged With Prostituting 14-Year-Old Daughter, 2 Other Girls At Hotel

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - Federal agents have arrested a woman suspected of prostituting her 14-year-old daughter in Puerto Rico.

Authorities filed a federal criminal complaint charging Betsian Carrasquillo Penaloza with taking her daughter and two other girls to the Sheraton Hotel at the San Juan Convention Center after meeting with undercover U.S. agents. The affidavit says Carrasquillo demanded $500 for sex with her daughter and $250 more for each of the other girls.

An agent with Homeland Security Investigations says in an affidavit signed Friday that the 34-year-old Carrasquillo also prostituted other underage girls and goes by the nickname "Fatty the Maneater."

And just how is this smart, effective immigration enforcement?  No immigration or customs violations here.  Is the Policia de Puerto Rico not capable of doing a common prostitution sting? 

Then we have another case where ICE SVU instead of arresting one of the thousands of illegal alien terrorists infesting Michigan decided that it will run a sting on child predators, much like NBC:

Authorities: Georgia Man Who Flew To Detroit To Have Sex With Minor Arrested

Authorities arrested a Georgia man Friday at Detroit Metro Airport who police say traveled to Detroit to have sex with a 14-year-old boy.

David Crossman, 66, of Atlanta faces up to life in prison after he was charged with online enticement and with travel in interstate commerce for the purpose of engaging in any illicit sexual conduct with another.

Officials say Crossman spent two months communicating online with an undercover agent with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations, who responded to Crossman's ad seeking sex with a minor. The agent posed as the father of a young boy.

"We are finding more and more that state lines and international borders are clearly not a hindrance to child predators," said Brian M. Moskowitz (AKA Abu Moskowitz), special agent in charge of ICE's Homeland Security Investigations in Detroit, in a press release.

How is that smart and effective immigration enforcement?  An interstate crime?  Call the FBI.  ICE has a particular responsibility to enforce the immigration and customs laws of the United States, not be the national vice squad for America.

Didn't Someone Report This A Year Ago

The Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations has released a report detailing the total failure of the Department of Homeland Security's Fusion Centers.  The report describes the product of the Centers as useless, misleading, and too late to be useful if it by accident is accurate.

Inquiry Cites Flaws in Counter-terrorism Offices

WASHINGTON — One of the nation’s biggest domestic counter-terrorism programs has failed to provide virtually any useful intelligence, according to Congressional investigators.
Their scathing report, to be released Wednesday, looked at problems in regional intelligence-gathering offices known as “fusion centers” that are financed by the Department of Homeland Security and created jointly with state and local law enforcement agencies.

The report found that the centers “forwarded intelligence of uneven quality — oftentimes shoddy, rarely timely, sometimes endangering citizens’ civil liberties and Privacy Act protections, occasionally taken from already published public sources, and more often than not unrelated to terrorism.”

More importantly, like much of DHS, it has focused on a mission already a function of other federal agencies, such as the Federal Bureau of Investigations:

Their scathing report, to be released Wednesday, looked at problems in regional intelligence-gathering offices known as “fusion centers” that are financed by the Department of Homeland Security and created jointly with state and local law enforcement agencies.

The report found that the centers “forwarded intelligence of uneven quality — oftentimes shoddy, rarely timely, sometimes endangering citizens’ civil liberties and Privacy Act protections, occasionally taken from already published public sources, and more often than not unrelated to terrorism...”

However, state and local law enforcement agencies already were working with the F.B.I. in regional counterterror units called Joint Terrorism Task Forces, which were responsible for handling terrorism-related criminal cases. The fusion centers quickly became a black hole for taxpayer money, the Senate investigators found. The fusion centers were run by state and local officials, but were funded through grants to states from the Federal Emergency Management Agency with little oversight. That made it easy for state and local officials to divert the federal money earmarked for the centers to other things, including sport utility vehicles and dozens of flat-screen televisions for use by state and local agencies.

And as this blog reported, it was openly politically motivated, with a working mission of attacking whites, gun owners, libertarians, and veterans.

However, the Fusion Centers are not alone in their FBI Envy.  U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Special Victims Unit (ICE SVU), otherwise known as Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), has FBI Envy.  ICE SVU has decided that it will no longer enforce immigration law and has abandoned immigration law enforcement for child porn investigations.  It also has ambitions to replace not only the FBI, but also the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).  Just as the Fusion Centers have no real mission that is not duplicative of FBI Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTF), so ICE SVU is nothing more than a poorly dressed version of the FBI (yes, ICE SVU Special Agents are notorious for appearing at United States Attorney's Offices in jeans rather than in professional business attire.).  And like the Fusion Centers, ICE SVU has no mission other than avoiding arresting aliens at any cost.  While at the same time the FBI is forced to do the work that ICE SVU fails at, such as arresting alien terrorists who commit immigration fraud.
