It’s official.
We’ve selected the fellows and government partners who will participate in the 2013 Fellowship Program. The applicants for each were incredibly impressive and whittling the list down to these 10 governments and 29 fellows was a quite a feat (for those we were unable to accept into the program this year, we encourage them to participate in the Brigade, and to ask them to consider applying for a slot in the 2014 Fellowship program.)
This year’s Fellowship Program will have a few firsts. Of the 10 governments we’ll be working with this year, two are counties. We’re excited about working at the county level and both learning from, and making an impact at this level of government. Secondly, we’ll be working with two cities on a single project this year — Kansas City, Kan. and Kansas City, Mo. These two cities teamed up and submitted a collective application, pushing forward the idea that governments can and should collaborate — and that the common challenges faced by these cities, can be resolved by a common solution.
So, without further ado, here they are.
2013 GOVERNMENT PARTNERS: 8 Cities / 2 Counties / 9 projects
2013 FELLOWS: 29 Individuals / 11 Months
