I was wondering if there was a way to make the identifier different then the title? If so, how can this be done?

I've found a way, but it works only for new uploads, not for existing uploads.

When you create your item, type in the identifier you want in the title field. Once your upload is done, go to the item page, click on the 'Edit item' link, choose 'I want to change the information' and put in the real title in the title field.
